How would you describe the current scenario of the home automation sector of India?
“As a segment, home automation is growing because more people are keen to experience the convenience of a smart home now than ever before. When you visit a friend and find them using an automation product that they’re enjoying, you are going to consider getting a system of your own too. What makes this range so appealing to customers?
The ability to control a multitude of devices from one app or via voice command is the most exciting thing for customers. Pre-set scenes that are personalised to the requirements of the home owner make this a solution that people enjoy using. When you can say ‘Turn on Good Night’ and all your media devices go off in an instant, without you having to get out of bed, that’s something one enjoys tremendously. You can also turn off your hall lights from another room, or verify if any of your air conditioners have been accidentally left on while you aren’t home. I believe that the widespread use of smart phones and the reliability of wireless technology have contributed significantly to the growth of this segment. As people get more and more accustomed to using touchscreens and a variety of apps, they want to use their phones to control everything. What could be better than total control in the palm of your hand, through a single app that integrates all your devices?
