Xiaomi has unveiled Xiaomi HyperOS, an innovative human-centric operating system designed to seamlessly connect personal devices, cars, and smart home products within a unified smart ecosystem.

Key Features:

Xiaomi HyperOS optimizes performance for individual devices, unifying the IoT landscape and ensuring peak device performance. The system is built on Linux and Xiaomi’s self-developed Xiaomi Vela system, supporting over 200 processor platforms and over 20 standard file systems.

Featuring the HyperConnect framework, Xiaomi HyperOS enables real-time networking between diverse devices. The integrated device center allows users to actively control and monitor their entire interconnected ecosystem, offering a new level of convenience and efficiency.

The operating system incorporates an AI subsystem called HyperMind, enabling devices to proactively understand user needs. HyperMind utilizes perceptual capabilities such as environment, vision, sound, and behavior to adapt devices to user preferences seamlessly.

Xiaomi HyperOS prioritizes user privacy and security, utilizing a self-developed Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) for sensitive information protection. Interconnected security module-based TEE ensures mutual trust among devices and end-to-end encryption safeguards data transmission.

Embracing open-source principles, Xiaomi HyperOS encourages collaboration with global developers. Xiaomi has open-sourced Xiaomi Vela, an IoT software platform, fosters innovation, improves performance, and enables real-time connectivity across a range of devices.

The system boasts refined scheduling capabilities, providing optimal performance and power efficiency even in resource-intensive scenarios.

The innovative Cross-Device Intelligent Connectivity framework, HyperConnect, facilitates seamless connections between devices, allowing users to effortlessly control and monitor their entire Xiaomi ecosystem.

HyperMind, the cognitive center of Xiaomi’s device ecosystem, incorporates AI technologies to enable devices to proactively understand and adapt to user needs.

The security-focused approach of Xiaomi HyperOS, including a self-developed TEE and end-to-end encryption, ensures robust cross-device and system-wide privacy.

Xiaomi HyperOS embraces an open platform philosophy, with Xiaomi Vela open-sourced to encourage collaboration and development within the IoT ecosystem.

Xiaomi HyperOS signifies a significant step forward in Xiaomi’s strategic vision of delivering a “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem. The operating system is set to be pre-installed on various devices, further enhancing the user experience in Xiaomi’s domestic markets.
