GE Lighting, a Savant company, is expanding its smart shades lineup with fully customizable options, giving consumers greater control over the look and fit of their smart home window treatments.
The new GE smart shades are now available in made-to-order sizes and an expanded selection of high-end fabrics. With custom sizes available from 28-72” wide and 35-110” tall, the smart shades neatly fit inside or outside the window opening. An expanded fabric offering helps the shades integrate with any room décor. Standard Blackout and Translucent fabrics are now joined by 3% solar fabric and a collection of designer Light Filtering and Blackout Fabrics. Each fabric can be paired with the sleek aluminium frame in black or white.
To accommodate window handles, GE smart shades now roll in two directions. DIYers can choose a regular roll, where the shade rolls near the windowpane or new reverse roll that raises and lowers the shade away from the window in order to clear window hardware.
As smart home adoption grows, consumers increasingly want solutions that blend technology with personal style. The shades already install in under 10 minutes, run up to six months on a single charge, and work with Google, Alexa and Apple HomeKit via Matter over Thread.
