Klipsch Marks 80 Years with Next-Generation Powered Speakers

Klipsch, celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2026, goes all in by resetting the benchmark for powered speakers with the introduction of its next generation: The Fives II, The Sevens II and The Nines II, which take centerstage in the Central Hall Booth #17204 at CES 2026. These new powered speakers embody the legendary American sound created by Founder Paul W. Klipsch, in 1946. With its patented horn-loaded technology, now powered by Onkyo’s precision Japanese engineering with an all-new electronics package, designed and engineered by Onkyo engineers in Osaka, Japan, the new models redefine the category. The simplified setup and integration of industry-leading technologies, including Dirac Live® and Dolby Atmos®, further expand the immersive listening experience to bring music, movies, and entertainment vividly to life.

“Celebrating 80 years of Klipsch, we’re not just updating our powered speakers — we’re resetting the standard for what a simple two-speaker system can deliver,” said Vinny Bonacorsi, Chief Operating Officer. “The Fives II, Sevens II, and Nines II pair Paul W. Klipsch’s legendary horn-loaded American sound with a new Onkyo-engineered electronics platform, plus Dirac Live and Dolby Atmos, to create a high-performance speaker system that is bigger, clearer, and more immersive than ever. The result is effortless setup with reference-level impact for music, movies, and everything in between.”

The new models further enhance the listening experience with industry-leading technologies that provide a fully immersive audio experience. All models feature Dolby Atmos® for rich, multidimensional sound, while The Nines II also adds DTS:X™ support for additional format compatibility. The Sevens II and The Nines II also include advanced room correction with the included Dirac Live® Room Correction (Limited Bandwidth). For those seeking next-level tuning capabilities, Dirac Live corrects room anomalies in real time, utilizing advanced software to deliver an optimal acoustic experience specific to the user’s environment. After a quick scan with the included mic, The Sevens II and The Nines II are quickly calibrated to produce optimal playback with no manual equalization necessary through a simple process in the Klipsch Connect Plus app.

This new series is ideal for audio enthusiasts looking for a high-performance system with the convenience of easy setup—virtually any source can quickly connect with inputs including an HDMI 2.1 input, HDMI eARC, digital optical, coaxial, analog input, and USB-C playback. Though bass is strong, for those wanting more, a subwoofer output is included.

All models offer high-res audio playback, up to 24-Bit/96kHz. Additionally, the Sevens II and the Nines II feature an optional wireless connection to link the left and right speakers for ultimate versatility in placement and ease of setup.

The all-new Klipsch Connect Plus app makes personalization and control simple, with a simple setup for Dirac room correction, customizable presets, controls for input and source, and instant access to your favorite music using the My Input feature. For users who prefer the physical controls, each model also features a redesigned top panel with durable metal controls: a tactile volume wheel and a source-select button for manual control of volume and source switching. Also included is a backlit remote that supports the analog control options by providing clear visibility in low light.

The CES demonstration (Booth 17204/Central Hall) will feature The Nines II. All three models will be available in Spring 2026 from www.Klipsch.com and all authorized Klipsch retailers.
