
CEDIA, the Association for Smart Home Professionals™, has announced the full scope of its 2026 Education Conference, taking place Sept. 1–3 at CEDIA Expo in Denver.
Designed to help industry professionals stay ahead in the rapidly evolving smart home market, the CEDIA Education Conference will offer a dynamic, forward-looking program featuring expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and curated learning tracks for every stage of a professional’s career.

A Program Built for What’s Next
The conference’s six tracks are designed to equip attendees with both immediate, actionable skills and long-term strategic insights.
The Emerging Technologies track will explore future-forward innovations, including artificial intelligence, robotics, and power management, giving attendees early insight into the technologies shaping tomorrow’s smart homes.
The Business track focuses on growth and scalability, covering branding, marketing, company culture, showroom strategy, and long-term planning with practical takeaways from experienced professionals.
The Design/Build track highlights collaboration between integrators and design professionals, demonstrating how technology can be seamlessly integrated to create functional, invisible solutions.
The Technical track delivers deep dives into racks, fibre, networking, cybersecurity and system fundamentals, including hands-on demos and real-world problem-solving from top integrators.
New for 2026, the Lighting Track will provide integrators with the knowledge to design, deploy, and troubleshoot lighting systems while building a profitable lighting practice that delivers both beautiful results and new revenue streams.
The Certifications Track offers preparation courses and exams for CEDIA’s globally recognised credentials, including CIT, IST, ESC-D, and RNS, enabling professionals to validate their expertise.
Hands-On Learning and Can’t-Miss Sessions
In addition to classroom sessions, the conference will feature hands-on workshops designed to build practical skills. Highlights include the RP32: Audio System Measurement and Verification Workshop, where attendees will learn standardised methods for measuring and validating system performance using real-world tools and software.
Other featured sessions include:
- Design Thinking, where industry leaders Peter Aylett and Rich Green will guide attendees through a proven process to better understand client needs and improve sales and project outcomes.
- The Evolution of Home Control: From Simply Smart to Truly Intelligent Living, led by Alex Capecelatro, will explore the shift toward AI-driven, intuitive home environments that anticipate user needs.
Additional workshops will cover lighting and rack building, offering hands-on experience in key technical areas.

CEDIA will also host a selection of free-to-attend sessions focused on industry advocacy, emerging trends, workforce development, and show floor insights.
