LG Electronics Gulf and Schneider Electric Partner for Smarter, Greener Homes

LG Electronics Gulf has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital energy management and automation, to collaborate on next-generation smart living solutions in the GCC region.

The MoU was formalized by Sa Nyoung Kim, President of LG Electronics Gulf, and Amel Chadli, President, Gulf Countries, Schneider Electric. The partnership aims to integrate LG’s connected home appliances with Schneider Electric’s digital platforms, including EcoStruxure and SpaceLogic KNX, to create seamless, energy-efficient smart environments.

The collaboration will prioritize innovation in sustainability, automation, and user-centric design, with the goal of enhancing smart home experiences across the region. A joint working group has been established to oversee implementation, identify pilot projects, and tailor solutions for regional markets, starting with the GCC and expanding across the Middle East.

“Partnering with LG Electronics allows us to unlock new value through smarter energy use, seamless automation, and enhanced user experiences,” said Amel Chadli. “Buildings are responsible for nearly 34% of annual global CO₂ emissions. Through this alliance, we are pushing the boundaries of energy-efficient automation and smart infrastructure.”

Sa Nyoung Kim echoed the strategic importance of the partnership: “This MoU marks a significant milestone in our journey toward sustainable and intelligent living. Together with Schneider Electric, we’re building future-ready home ecosystems that are both connected and environmentally responsible.”
