Aqara has recently launched a pair of Apple HomeKit compatible smart home hubs that feature the latest generation of the Zigbee wireless protocol. The all new Aqara Hub M2 smart hub and the next generation Aqara Hub M1S are the upgraded version of the original hub. Aqara’s Hub M2 boasts of a classy all-black design, a built-in Ethernet port, an IR transmitter to control older home devices and accessories with voice commands or simply automation. It can support up to 128 paired devices and provides increased accuracy, dependability and response time. Also, the Hub M2 supports all four HomeKit security modes. It features a  micro-USB port that offers optional battery backup, when connected to a power bank. On the other hand, the Aqara Hub M1S can connect up to 128 Zigbee devices for Wi-Fi. Both Hub M2 and Hub M1S support Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
